Nollaig Shona ó Scoil Chlann Naofa

Mr. Beirne's Class made beautiful festive tealight holders this week during Art. They lit them up and there was a lovely glow in 5th and 6th Class. See the pictures below.

We hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas and a lovely break. See you in 2017!

Spelling in Scoil Chlann Naofa

We are all in different spelling groups in our classroom. This could be forest green, turquoise or emerald. In Ms, Shanley's Room some of us work on other lists also. Sometimes we use clay to construct a word and symbol. This can help us to remember how to read and spell it.

Thanks to all who donated shoeboxes. The response was huge. Well done everyone and mammys, dads, grans and grandads who helped. There were even pupils who brought more than one shoebox. You should all be very proud.

Making Pancakes in Scoil Chlann Naofa

Oli, Wiki, Aisling and Mark had great fun in the kitchen making pancakes last week with Mrs. Fitzpatrick and Claire. They planned and prepared them and followed a recipe. They helped with every step of the procedure and then finally were rewarded with their own delicious treats. Good job everyone!
