Making Pancakes in Scoil Chlann Naofa

Oli, Wiki, Aisling and Mark had great fun in the kitchen making pancakes last week with Mrs. Fitzpatrick and Claire. They planned and prepared them and followed a recipe. They helped with every step of the procedure and then finally were rewarded with their own delicious treats. Good job everyone!

Team Hope Shoebox Appeal 2016

Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2016 from Team Hope on Vimeo.

We are supporting the Team Hope Shoebox Appeal again this year and would ask that you all have your boxes ready before the 11th of November. Here are some key things to remember:
The four W's
Wash- put something in the box for Hygiene e.g. toothbrush and paste
Wear- small clothing item e.g. gloves, socks
Write- an item for school e.g. copy book, markers, solar calculator
Wow!- a treat; toys, sunglasses, photo of yourself, doll, small musical instrument ...
Use an average sized shoebox and think about the age and gender of the child- boy/girl- 2-4, 5-9, 10-14 years old. Close with an elastic band and include at least €4per box.
See the website here or get a form in school. Thanks especially to the parents who always support this cause so well!

Our first assembly

The 7th of October was a very special day for us in Scoil Chlann Naofa. It was our first time to come together as staff and pupils for a whole school assembly. We met in the Community Centre and every class did a special song, poem, prayer or tune. We even had a haka! It was fantastic to see each class on stage performing for their friends in the other rooms. It was thoroughly enjoyable and we look forward to having another one soon.
Second Class performing 'Consider Yourself' from the musical Oliver
Third Class playing a selection of tunes on the tin whistle
